CVium.AI (“CVium”, “we”, “us”) helps job seekers tailor their CV, cover letters, and job search to a specific role using AI. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email, and profile photo when you sign in with Google or LinkedIn.
- CV content: work history, education, skills, and contact details you upload or enter.
- Job search activity: job descriptions you paste, saved and tracked applications, and career preferences.
- Payment information: processed by Paynow and Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and basic device/browser information.
How we use your information
- To parse, tailor, and score your CV against a specific job description.
- To generate cover letters, interview questions, career plans, and company research.
- To run the Auto-Apply agent on your behalf, when you turn it on.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the product.
AI processing
We send relevant CV and job description text to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic) to generate tailored content. We do not permit those providers to use your content to train their general-purpose models. Every AI-tailored CV can be checked against your original with our Truth Checker before you rely on it.
LinkedIn and job data
- If you connect LinkedIn, we import the profile data you authorize through LinkedIn’s official API.
- If you paste a public LinkedIn URL, we may fetch publicly visible profile content to help build your CV.
- We aggregate publicly listed job postings from third-party job boards to power job search and Auto-Apply.
Public profiles and recruiters
If you choose to make your candidate profile discoverable, recruiters using CVium can search for and view it, and send you invites. This is off by default and fully under your control from Settings.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. If you choose Accept all, we may load optional analytics (for example Plausible and/or Google Analytics) to understand product usage — never for third-party advertising. Choose Essential only to decline analytics. Reopen the banner anytime from Cookie settings in the footer.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run CVium (hosting, AI processing, payments, email delivery) under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and CV data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual CVs or your entire account at any time from your dashboard settings.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@cvium.ai.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
Children’s privacy
CVium is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
International users
We serve job seekers globally, including South Africa and Zimbabwe. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards in place.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above whenever we make material changes.
